The Institute of Nutritional and Food Science represents the diversity of this field of work with its various working groups. The activities in the institute range from the molecular analysis of food ingredients, the elucidation of their function and physiological effect as a component of nutrition, to the investigation of the effect of dietary variants in large cohorts of subjects. The thematic diversity forms the basis for both various courses of study and interdisciplinary research projects.
